Ipoh Gold Robbery: Thieves Steal 3kg from Jeweller

Violent Robbery Takes Place in Ipoh

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 — In a shocking incident today, a jeweller was robbed of 3kg of gold by six masked men outside his gold processing shop in Ipoh, Perak. The robbery occurred around 9:30am along Jalan Bendahara, as the jeweller was preparing to enter his vehicle. He was reportedly heading to deliver some jewellery to a customer at the time.

Jeweller Overpowered by Armed Thieves

The jeweller was suddenly surrounded by six armed robbers who were wearing masks. The thieves brandished knives and machetes, and the victim was left with no chance to defend himself. The incident unfolded rapidly, leaving the jeweller shocked and unable to react. The whole event took place in a matter of seconds.

Vehicle Collision as Robbers Close In

During the robbery, one of the robbers’ vehicles struck the jeweller’s car from behind. The victim was fortunate to avoid more serious injury or damage to his car, but he did suffer a minor injury to his leg from the impact. Despite the scare, he was able to remain calm and did not attempt to flee.

Strategic Use of Two Vehicles

The robbers utilized two vehicles to box in the jeweller’s car, making escape impossible. This tactic allowed them to rob him of the 3kg of gold, which they quickly loaded into their car before fleeing the scene. The jeweller was left powerless, unable to stop the well-coordinated attack.
