Tourist’s Noodle Complaint Goes Viral

$10 Noodle Dish Complaint Sparks Online Debate, Hotel Clarifies Buffet Policy

A video posted by a Chinese tourist complaining about a 68 yuan ($10) bowl of noodles at Xi’an Hyatt Hotel’s Xiuqiao Chinese Restaurant has gone viral. The bowl allegedly contained only one noodle and two scallions, leading to widespread criticism of the hotel. The hotel clarified that the restaurant is a buffet where the noodle dish actually costs 48 yuan ($7) and can be refilled to the customer’s satisfaction. The tourist reportedly ordered a large bowl, which can be refilled upon request. The video has since been deleted after the tourist faced online backlash.
