Government Funds Approved for Syed Saddiq After Talks

Government Funding Syed Saddiq Expected Soon

PETALING JAYA: Government funding is set to be disbursed soon following five negotiation sessions with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, according to Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Agreement Conditions and Compliance

He emphasized that he has no reservations about signing a confidence and supply agreement (CSA) or memorandum of understanding (MoU) and will adhere to all conditions, including asset declaration, provided that the interests of Muar residents are safeguarded.

“If asset declaration is necessary, I am more than willing to comply. I was one of the first ministers to do so before the election, and I have no issue declaring my assets yearly.

Anticipation for Development and Welfare Aid

“This is all for the welfare of Muar residents, and I hope there will be good news soon so that development and aid distribution can proceed efficiently.

“Should this agreement be successfully concluded, I am confident everything will go smoothly. I appreciate this opportunity and extend my thanks to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Fadillah,” he said on Monday (March 10).

Syed Saddiq Ongoing Negotiations with Opposition MPs

Previously, Fadillah, who chairs the Government Consultation Council, mentioned that the former Muda president had shown willingness to accept the government’s terms. He added that finalizing the details is underway, while responses from other opposition MPs are still awaited.

Earlier, Syed Saddiq asserted that he had no choice but to comply with the terms to secure financial support for his constituency.
