Taman OUG Freezer Case: Fatal Blunt Trauma Confirmed

KUALA LUMPUR: A preliminary post-mortem has determined that an elderly woman discovered in a freezer in Taman OUG died from chest injuries caused by blunt force trauma.

Police Statement on Cause of Death

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa issued a statement on Thursday (Nov 21), stating, “The early report concludes chest trauma from blunt force as the cause of death.”

Investigation Progress So Far

To date, police have taken nine statements to aid their investigation, though Comm Rusdi noted, “We are still waiting for a complete post-mortem report to confirm the exact timing of the murder.”

Custody Details of the Suspect

The suspect, who was hospitalized, has been discharged as of Nov 20 and is currently held at the Brickfields police station, with his detention extended until Nov 26.

Previous Allegations of a Long-Hidden Crime

According to previous reports, the suspect is alleged to have murdered his mother three years ago before concealing her body in a freezer. The suspect later alerted authorities to the discovery.
